The company

A position has arisen for a Development Chef working for a dynamic food business which manufactures high end products. They work with their customers to develop an innovative, great tasting product range and work closely with both leading UK retailers and food manufacturers.

The job

As Development Chef, you will be working in a dynamic environment where the business strives for continual improvement and has a commitment to the personal development of all their employees.

You will work as part of the manufacturing team, provide innovate and new concepts for business to business customers, keep up to date with competitor activity, support the team in the identification of potential new food trends, assist in the launch of new and existing products plus deliver and drive culinary standards through the business.

Your experience

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual with a proven culinary background who can identify and create new ideas, approaches and insights to produce innovative work and solutions. Previous NPD Chef or similar experience within the food manufacturing industry is highly desirable. You will also ideally have professional chef qualifications e.g. BA Culinary Arts, City & Guilds Practical Cookery, NVQ’s etc. This is a customer facing role, therefore excellent communication skills are essential.

The Development Chef job is based in the Home Counties / South Central region and is paying up to £35,000 according to individual skills and previous experience.
