The job

As a key member of a talented team, the purpose of the Process Development Technologist is to take an approved concept product or current product recipe changes through to launch, ensuring that at all times that food safety, legality and product quality is taken into consideration.

You will update the NPD critical path with project information, ensure new procedures are implemented effectively, review product recipes raising any queries, carry out production trials including ordering of new raw materials or packaging, collect trial data, brief the production teams on trial and launch information, complete all required technical information documents and communicate launch details to customers.

Your experience

To be considered for the Process Development Technologist job, you will possess a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a process/technical role within food manufacturing, most preferably chilled products. Ideally educated to a degree level in a food science-based discipline, you will also have good knowledge of launching products using a critical path and possess excellent planning and problem solving skills.

More details

The Process Development Technologist job is based in the East Midlands region and is paying £20,000 - £24,000 according to individual skills and previous experience plus benefits including contributory pension scheme, life assurance and 32 days holiday per year (inclusive of bank holidays).

The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm although some flexibility will be required during projects and peak periods.
