As the cliché goes - "sometimes the best things come in small packages".

You're probably wondering what on earth I'm going on about but hear me out…

When it comes to businesses, big can be great. Big can also mean lots of red tape, politics and ancient policies and processes.

It can also be hard to have your voice heard (unless you're the CEO / bring a megaphone into work).

You may be the CEO of yourself but when it comes to work, you're the Production Manager. And quite frankly, I wouldn't recommend the megaphone thing. People don't take too kindly to it.

You're probably still wondering where this is all going so I'll get to the point.

This is a small business. They're big enough to field weekly 5-as-side team with a couple of subs but not quite big enough to play 11-a-side on a Saturday morning.

Reporting directly into the owner, your voice will be prominent in the day to day and future operation of the business. It won't always be this small, in fact, they have orders which will see their sales double over the 12 months and are currently having to turn away further new business until they have the facilities and structure in place to deliver. Once you've achieved this and set up the new site, maybe you can set up that Saturday morning team?

The products are niche and high quality so your previous experience of managing short-shelf life food products is essential.
