The Role

Reporting to the Head of NPD you will be managing the Branded Development team leading them to grow the business, creating outstanding additions to new and existing ranges and generating delightful, original ideas to NPD. You will develop, communicate and deliver NPD strategy as you project manage from concept to launch assessing ways to drive growth and innovation which unlock new opportunities. Persuasively presenting to and influencing your customers and colleagues you will demonstrate a thorough understanding of their requirements through solutions which also meet business objectives and product margins.

Within your team you’ll be drumming up enthusiasm for new ingredients and trends, promoting a foodie culture to capitalise on genuine passion and curiosity to enhance NPD. You’ll also use category management to deliver first to market products, monitoring and benchmarking EPD and NPD, implementing continuous improvements as necessary.

The Candidate

Crucially, you will have a genuine passion and interest in food with an infectious enthusiasm for delivering dynamic and innovative products. This role would suit a creative and tenacious Product Developer who has experience of delivering products within a fast paced food manufacturing environment. You'll also have a proven track record of delivering persuasive presentations and establishing great relationships with suppliers. You must have excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a creative team to reach their potential.

You will also be innovative and proactive in your approach to product development with proven commercial awareness as well as consumer insights, trends and quality focus. You'll need to have superb interpersonal and communication skills coupled with a resourceful and flexible approach to the NPD process in order to lead the team to deliver successful innovation projects.
