Purchasing Manager | Packaging & Indirects | Food Business
We are working with a long established and well known fresh food company, who have a need to recruit a Purchasing Manager, with experience of dealing with Indirects and Packaging. They have had some brilliant growth over the last few years and this doesn't seem to be slowing down. The right person will have experience in a similar role and ideally within fresh food, but definitely FMCG experience.
You will be managing the company's sourcing of their various packaging and other indirect purchases. There will be a mixture of contracts to negotiate and one-off purchases which will need to be balanced. Quality is a very big factor for the business, so this always needs to be considered alongside the base price. It is no good buying the cheapest product, for the quality to suffer.
You will have experience of buying indirects and packaging in the past, ideally within a fresh produce or food environment, but other FMCG businesses will be considered. CIPS qualifications isn't essential, but a good understanding of RFI and RFQ procedures is. They operate in a very fast paced environment and the ability to think on your feet and react quickly is important. The company has a lot of influence in Europe as well, so there will be a chance to travel as well.
This is a great opportunity to join a business who have an excellent reputation. If you are interested and have the skills listed above, please get in touch with Morten Andresen on 01780 480530 or apply via the link.
