We are built on people like you: an exceptional Production Manager or Shift Manager who has what it takes to make an impact in our Matthew Walker business. Matthew Walker is based in Derbyshire and is the world's oldest Christmas pudding maker, producing around 97% of the UK Christmas pudding market. The Derbyshire factory opened in 1899 and relocated to its present site in Heanor in 1967. Matthew Walker produces over 100 different varieties of Christmas pudding and a variety of sponge puddings, supplying to all major UK retailers and a number of food service customers.

About the Role
As Production Manager you will manage 2-4 team leaders in fast pace production environment with 80-100 production staff at peak, ensuring that our products are produced to agreed standards, in the correct volumes, in a safe and timely manner and in a cost effective way. It is fast moving, exciting and demanding. We are looking for a Production Manager who has passion to succeed and is committed to high standards - meeting KPIs around shift performance, safety, efficiency, waste and quality.

- Solid experience as a Production Manager or Shift Manager in food manufacturing
- Prior experience working twilight or night shift is preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety and quality
- Good people manager with hands on approach, able to lead the workforce effectively.
- Excellent communicator, positive and forward thinking, someone who can inspire and be a driving force
