A great opportunity to join a pioneer within the food industry has become available, as continued growth has presented an opening for three new Warehouse Operatives with Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Licences to join their team.

 

Job Role

This position has a wide range of responsibilities in order to maintain the high standards already within the business and meet the expectations that have been set by existing team members. The main role is to maintain the day-to-day operation of the warehouse ensuring health & safety standards are met at all time.  Working closely with the 3PL and drivers that visit the site to ensure that all deliveries are correct and processed efficiently.

 

Responsibilities

  • Use of Counterbalance and Reach Forklift to move stock to set destinations
  • Management of own Key Service Indicator and Key Performance Indicators
  • Ensure all product movements are documented
  • Good housekeeping within all areas of the warehouse
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Accuracy in picking, re-stocking and despatch of all items
  • Use of pedestrian pallet trucks, reach trucks and counterbalance to manage stock
  • Complete all assigned duties accurately and on time
  • Reporting of all damages to shift team leaders/managers
  • Assist cold store operations when required
  • Liaise closely with 3PL drivers in order for successful delivery
  • Check all drivers’ paperwork and cross reference with physical receipt
  • Assisting stocktake for peak periods
  • Signing out drivers with appropriate despatch and customer paperwork
  • Training new members of the team
  • Attend Operative meetings to discuss performance, issues and company progress

 

Personal Profile

  • A strong understanding of Warehouse Management Systems requirements
  • Flexibility in working hours
  • Communicate any training needs to their line manager
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety and Safe Systems
  • Understanding of Food Safety and Hygiene & Environmental Standards

 

Hours

Shifts are 3 on 3 off pattern, with a total of 12 hours per day – start times are 7am and 7pm on rotating shift patterns
