We are currently recruiting for  a Evening Hygiene Chargehand at our site in Workshop, Nottinghamshire.  Your key focus will be to manage a team of up to 30 hygiene operatives and ensuring that the manufacturing facility meets and exceeds the regulatory and customer expectations for food safety and hygiene standards.Working Sunday to Thursday 10:30 to 19:00with cover support.

Main responsibilities

As a Chargehand you will play a key role within the hygiene team and will be responsible for managing a team of hygiene operatives. You’ll be ensuring that the highest possible standards of hygiene are maintained at all times.

With a real focus on ensuring that safe standards of hygiene are maintained throughout the site at all times, you’ll be involved in conducting hygiene audits to highlight areas requiring scheduling improvements, whilst also working closely with the hygiene team to implement and drive improvements.  As such, you’ll have a real eye for detail and you’ll be able to identify not only opportunities for improvement but the ideas to support how to improve them.

Ideal candidate

Supervisory experience are required for this role as well as a knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation and COSH.

Applicants should have Basic Food Hygiene and Basic Health & Safety qualifications as a minimum requirement.

Suitable applicants will be self-motivated, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to take a flexible approach to work within this fast paced environment.
