Category Analyst

Job Title: Category Analyst
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £35,000-£40,000 pa (dependent on experience)

Our client is a large and innovative food manufacturer. They are built on strong relationships with their customers and delivering quality products with excellent service levels. They are currently looking for a Category Analyst to join their commercial team tasked with contributing towards the delivery of the highest level of service to their customers and keeping in front of market trends. Working closely with the commercial team you will provide insight and direction from marketing data, support them on presentations and customer insight, and also provide direction on opportunities for NPD.

Responsibilities:
-Managing category data to identify trends create reports, identify market opportunities. Using data providers IRI, Nielsen, Kantar
-Use data to draw conclusions and suggestions to commercial/procurement teams on actions to take
-Update promotional activity and manage relevant changes to products
-Ensure forecasting accuracy on all lines
-Assist in the preparation of regular presentations to customers
-Support day to day procurement systems and help manage invoice queries

Experience/Person:
-Previous experience in a category/marketing/data analytical role.
-Experience in data mining and interpretation from market data providers, Kantar, Nielsen, IRI.
-An organised and excellent communicator
-A confident character that isn't afraid to make suggestions and contributions
-Excellent Excel and Microsoft skills
