Job Details

As a Compliance Manager you will play an important part of the Technical and innovation team, reporting to the Technical Manager. You will be responsible for the management of regulatory and quality information. You will be able to interpret nutritional values, regulation related to the health claims, customer requirements on new and existing products in the EU and U.S. market.

You will assess the legality of incoming ingredients and packaging materials and review the business and customer labels to ensure they are compliant with UK/ EU regulations. Where clients are selling into foreign markets you will assist the customer, by reviewing the legality of the products and labels in those markets as far as you are able.

You will be helping in continuous improvement of Quality Management System based on HACCP risk assessments using industry best practice, BRC, and legislative requirements.

You will manage consumers and customers queries and ensuring that all customer complaints are logged and closed out in a timely manner. You will maintain the customer complaint database and co-ordinate in completion of customer KPI’s and internal audit system.

You will be responsible for ensuring products are safe, legal, fit for purpose, produced to branded specifications and all associated due diligence records are in place.

You will support our innovation team with expertise in all aspects of the process, leading the nutritional concept brief, recipe development, testing, HACCP studies, shelf life protocols and managing manufacturing partnerships.

You will have an excellent knowledge of nutrition and health claims.

You will coordinate the development of graphics and product labelling with in- house marketing and graphics team. You will manage all third party labelling approvals of products necessary for the EU projects.

You will assist the corporate function in all product testing necessary for product registrations to ensure appropriate documentation and instructions to the labs.

You will be responsible for keeping up and understanding the regulatory environment and interpretation of regulations for food and dietary supplement and how our products are affected.

You are confident, personable and able to work in a fast paced, cross-functional capacity. Your customer service is excellent and your ability to manage projects and deadlines impeccable. Your attention to detail is second to none and you take personal responsibility for the integrity of our foods.

Personal Profile:

•             Food science or related degree with a solid technical background

•             Strong knowledge of regulatory and quality information

•             Ability to effectively apply applicable regulations and industry standards to products

•             Excel skill with numeracy

•             Detail oriented

•            Strong oral and written communication skills
