This established food manufacturer supplies a wide range of innovative chilled food products to the major multiples. They are now looking for a Creative Packaging Developer to seek out the newest design trends known to market whilst driving innovation forward!

The Role

In this essential packaging role you’ll be pivotal in delivering innovative packaging ideas from concept to launch. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of packaging for both new and existing product ranges, from identifying cost reduction initiatives to updating packaging formats in line with industry regulations and trends. Working closely with internal product development teams, you will manage the packaging critical path, bring concepts to life, producing illustrations, mock-ups, presentations and mood boards to accurately communicate intent and initial ideas during customer meetings.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring that all packaging projects meet food safety and environmental standards as well as customer specifications. You will also liaise with suppliers to keep up with new materials, designs and equipment as well as finding new ways to increase efficiency and profitability. In addition you’ll be reviewing and evaluating equipment and processes, using feedback to drive continuous improvement initiatives and guarantee successful product launches with packaging that delivers on innovation and quality.

The Person

We are looking for a highly creative and resourceful Creative Packaging Developer who has experience of working in a similar innovative packaging role within food manufacturing. You’ll have a strong understanding of the packaging industry and technologies along with knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Using your commercial awareness you’ll be presenting pioneering concepts to high profile retail customers in addition to mock up creations and graphic design. You’ll also need to have excellent organisation, time management and prioritisation skills in order to effectively manage multiple projects. A keen eye for detail coupled with a flair for commercial creativity is essential for this role.
