The business provides scientific, technical, and legislative support to the food, drinks and allied industries worldwide. The practical application of technical excellence lies at the heart of all that they do and is supported by their industry-leading facilities, expertise and knowledge.
The purpose of the role is to provide clients with authoritative services in the areas of regulatory affairs for both the food and drinks industry.
You will maintain and extend a high level of awareness of current UK and EU harmonised food legislation, related issues and likely developments, answer questions internally and externally on the content, application and interpretation of legislation, develop and contribute to Regulatory Affairs publications and events, initiate new business and deliver contract services on time and within budget plus contribute to the development and delivery of research projects.
You will be educated to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant science, law or related discipline and possess extensive knowledge of food law acquired in a commercial, enforcement or policy setting over at least 3 years. You will be a confident communicator, have goods report writing and presentation skills and a full UK valid driving licence is also required.
The Food Law Advisor job can be based in either the Home Counties / South East OR the West Midlands / South Central region according to your preference.
The role is paying £25,000 - £35,000 according to individual skills and previous experience plus excellent benefits including pension scheme, private medical insurance, subsidised restaurant and ongoing company supported training.
