You can probably remember a time when health and safety wasn't taken as seriously as it is nowadays and how for some businesses, it was merely a tick box exercise.



Thankfully, times have changed and for a lot of businesses, including this one - health and safety takes top priority on site.



After all, it's not worth risking lives or fingers to put food on the supermarket shelves.



Whilst it's pleasing to see the shift in attitudes, you're probably aware that "passion for the safety of our workforce" is something some people say just to make themselves look better.



You also know how hard it can be to make the changes needed if you don't have the support coming from the very top.



Luckily for you, you'll have the full backing of a CEO who genuinely prioritises safety within the business, providing you with the necessary resources to achieve this goal, rather than just paying lip service to it.



This is a pretty big site, so there'll be plenty for you to get on with. You'll work with the HSE Officer to create and deploy strategy across the operation, continuously looking for ways to improve.
