Our client has a fantastic new opportunity for a Night Shift Supervisor to join a team who pride themselves on creating a great team ethos for all employees. A specialist food supplier to high-end clients across London and the Home Counties are looking to welcome a professional, hard-working and driven individual into their team.

 

Job Role

You will be working alongside the Production Manager to manage and supervise the night shift team of 20; this positions is key in ensuring their products are of the highest quality and are picked, prepared and packed to the high standards their clients expect.

 

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will be need to have experience in the key areas below:

  • You will need to motivate and lead the production team ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently
  • Working with the Quality Team you will monitor product standards and service to ensure orders are consistently produced according to customer specifications
  • Optimise all aspects of operational performance including efficiencies, cost, waste and yield whilst driving continuous improvement
  • Apply best practice for product handling at all stages of order process
  • Manage Health & Safety and environmental compliance in line with company processes and procedures, and food industry standards e.g.: MSC / Salsa
  • Manage the team to ensure that HACCP standards are adhered to
  • Contribute to monthly stock takes as required
  • Work collaboratively with all other departments within the business
  • Communicate effectively at all levels ensuring any concerns or issues are dealt with quickly and effectively
  • Assist the Production Manager in assessing training needs, planning and performing team training
  • Assist the Production Manager in planning the staffing rota
  • Ensure all appropriate record keeping is accurate and up to date
  • Ensure the comprehensive cleaning schedule is maintained

 

Personal Profile

  • Supervisory skills to be able to run a production process
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Fish industry desirable / Food industry required
  • Night shift experience required
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of process and procedure in a similar environment
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety regulations
  • Fast learner for new processes and systems
  • Microsoft Office /Ordering systems desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Excellent people skills

 

Hours  

50 per week across 5 night shifts (Sunday to Friday)
