Health & Safety Quality Manager

Job Title: Health & Safety Quality Manager
Salary: £35,000 - £40000
Location: Dartford

Our client is a leading player in the temperature-controlled distribution service, and due to continued growth within their business, they are looking to add to their team with a Health & Safety Quality Manager

Main responsibilities will be:
*Develop an effective H&S strategy
*Continuous improvement
*Review systems and procedures and implement new processes where required
*Provide advice on documentation ensuring legislative is met
*Development and co-ordination of Business Continuity plans for the organisation as necessary.
*Ensures Risk Assessments are in place for key processes along with relevant Safe Systems of Work and there is a process of regular review.
*Design training materials to support the implementation and training of Safe Systems of Work.
*Monitor and support the completion of accident/near miss investigations to ensure they are completed appropriately, in a timely manner and that the escalation procedure has been completed; keeping the business updates as necessary.
*Facilitate Health & Safety meetings ensuring any actions identified are recorded, have clear accountabilities and deadlines for completion.
*Support the planning, review, recommendation and implementation of quality procedures and manuals that demonstrate the Company's compliance with legislative, industry and customer quality standards, such as BRC.
*Liaise with customers/suppliers as appropriate to support the recognition of the Companies standards of compliance.
*Support the continuous improvement of process critical controls and food safety systems.
*Lead and develop the group HACCP team to ensure the system is reviewed, relevant, implemented and complied with.
