The company

The company is part of a quality chilled foods group supplying to a number of the major retailers including Tesco, Waitrose and Morrison’s. The business makes a wide range of chilled foods in well-invested sites that give its staff the facilities and environment to produce food to the highest quality and food safety standards.

The job

The purpose of the Multi-Skilled Engineer is to develop all plant asset maintenance systems, manage all day-to-day maintenance and assist in all Shift Engineering Team activities to ensure all optimum performance levels are achieved and sustained.

You will provide the site with strong engineering ownership, provide maintenance expertise on shift to sustain high performance, process data to analyse plant performance, lead and support all improvements, ensure contractors provide a service that is quality driven and execute the maintenance for engineering shutdowns and start-ups.

Your experience

To be considered for the Multi-Skilled Engineer job, you will ideally hold City and Guilds or equivalent time served experience together with a strong manufacturing/FMCG engineering track record, most preferably food manufacturing. You will have a proactive approach, be able to analyse labour usage and statistics plus be experienced implementing continuous improvements.
