Procurement and Logistics Executive

Spanish or French Speaking Buyer and Logistics professional with excellent knowledge of international movement of goods in the perishable market is needed for this major food producer based in Kent.

This role manages the interface with our client's suppliers with whom you negotiate contracts, pricing and supply to ensure the right products are delivered to the right location to ensure all customer order are fulfilled successfully.

Key Aspects of the role include:
·Negotiating weekly product availability
·Working with suppliers to negotiate prices weekly and seasonally
·Maintaining market knowledge to identify new product lines from both new and potential suppliers
·Invoice management on a weekly basis
·Working closely with other departments to successful fulfil demand


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Will be able to demonstrate strong communication and buying skills developed in a food business sourcing raw material and finished products internationally.

The Following also of high importance for this role:
·Fluency in Spanish or French and English
·Food Sector Buying experience
·Excellent negotiating skills
·Fresh Produce experience ideally but food buying experience is essential
·Flexible to work outside of normal office hours when the role demands

The produce sector is particularly demanding with the entire supply chain under constant scrutiny and requires the ability to operate under considerable pressure on an on-going basis.
