We’ve got a fantastic job for a Technical Shift Manager to join our Gadbrook Produce site. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management and guidance of the technical team across all departments.

The role is working a shift pattern of 4 on / 3 off and 3 on / 4 off.

Requirements of the Job

As a Technical Shift Manager, you will deliver food safety, legality, quality and integrity for all our customers and brands along with ensuring that all designated procedures and practices comply to legal, BRC and MMS requirements. You’ll be responsible for checking CCP‘s across departments and ensuring trained competent colleagues are controlling these. You’ll be a strong people developer and performance manager through a coaching and leadership style and you’ll have an ability to be able to lead change through a continuous improvement approach as well as being able to support and advise colleagues on technical issues.

About You

You’ll have relevant experience or a degree in science, food technology, chemistry, microbiology, engineering, manufacturing or business along with knowledge of safety, legality, compliance and quality across supply chain and produce range. You will have previous experience/knowledge of high risk coupled with thermal processing knowledge/experience and strong analytical and decision making skills. You will have excellent communication skills and solution focussed problem solver.
