FOOD TECHNOLOGIST

Food Technologist

Location: Oxfordshire

This growing, ambitious supplier of ambient foods supply high quality products into both the retail and food service market. They now have an immediate requirement for an experienced Food Technologist to provide technical support across specifications, artwork, and working closely with the NPD team.

• Lead the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the specification system.
• Work across functions and departments providing technical support and advice.
• Deal with customer technical enquiries and respond within the required timeframes.
• Assist with the benchmarking and analysis of new products, ensuring technical compliance to specifications as well as nutritional and shelf life requirements.
• Generate pack copy information for the creation of artwork, approve artwork, identify and advise on any labelling non-conformances.
• Attend and assist with development, preproduction trials and launches to ensure products are produced in accordance with their specifications (to include abroad supplier visits).
• Compile, review and update internal finished product specifications in line with food safety and quality requirements in an accurate and timely manner.

To be chosen for this position you will have recent experience writing full product specifications for the UK retailers. You will also ideally be available to start at short notice.
