Position: Logistics Support Manager

Based:      Haddenham, UK

We are currently looking for a Logistics Support Manager to join our team. Do you thrive in a fast paced, international work environment?

Directly responsible for the management and leadership of site executional excellence and project change management using defined CI tools and change management principles. Primary business contact for all change, growth and NPD initiatives that potentially impact the Haddenham Operation, working closely with project Engineers, Performance Manager, Reliability and Process leads.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a lead role in improving McCormick performance, including customer needs and initiatives.  Align distribution provision with customer and business needs and anticipate future needs.
  • Ensure that all external warehousing is fit for the purpose intended.  Resolve any issues regarding storage quality with the appropriate 3rd party.
  • Ensure that DC performance is within established KPIs.  Lead appropriate performance improvement initiatives and evaluate KPI targets versus customer / business needs driving improvement projects to maximise end-to-end logistics performance.
  • Resolve inventory accuracy, and system issues involving third party users.
  • Provide operational forecasts for third party and internal use showing capacity utilisation and develop action plans to resolve capacity constraints.
  • Manage small team and indirectly influence 3PL management teams to high performance.
  • Provide budgets and forecasts and sign off SOX controls as well as working with external audit bodies.
  • Manage ancillary service providers as required (DGSA, pallet control)

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Education:
  • Batchelors degree in numeric discipline
  • Certifications and/or licenses:
  • CPC National required, MILT desirable
  • Experience:
  • Demonstrable logistics management experience in FMCG, with experience of manufacturing logistics.  Broader end-to-end supply chain experience is desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry best practices.
  • Knowledge of business strategies.
  • Demonstrable third party management.
  • Team work, time management, influencing skills, communication skills, cross cultural working and ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory management, warehouse and distribution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and influence at various levels.
  • Previous budget accountability required.
