The company

This is a small British-based bakery that has recently opened a sister shop in Tokyo, Japan. We are offering the same combination of pasties, pies and sweets in Tokyo as our shop in England serving the expat community as well as locals with an interest in British baking.
 
The job

Your role will be to replace the current baker as he moves back to the UK. You will be responsible for the production of pies, pasties and some of the sweet selection, with a focus on making the pastry to a high-quality. We also want the candidate to expand our menu to cater to the demand in the local Japanese market and help grow the company. 

Your experience

You will ideally possess previous experience producing a range of different types of pastry , and specifically have experience making either pasties or pies. You will be confident using a pie sheeter and mixers and cooking a range of sauces and fillings.

The job is based in central Tokyo for an assignment expected to last initial between 18-24 months. We will help the successful applicant organise accommodation, visas and flights and will pay a competitive salary based on experience.
