Electrical Maintenance Engineer

A new and exciting opportunity has come available for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work for a highly established Waste Recycling business in Pontefract with over 8,000 employees worldwide.

The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for electrical maintenance and fault finding, basic mechanical maintenance tasks and repairs on waste handling equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

* Provide high availability and an efficient breakdown repair service
* Carry out installation work to the required standards
* Develop and implement a programme of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimise downtime, provide records of repetitive fault finding and develop engineering solutions to these issues
* Liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work
* Keep up-to-date regarding health and safety procedures and ensure they are adhered to

Working Hours: 4 on 4 off (days and nights)

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

* Electrical apprentice trained and 17th edition or equivalent
* Experience as Electrical Maintenance Engineer or equivalent in a manufacturing environment
