First class manufacturer are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join their team and lead the factory on all aspects of reliability , capex projects and people management of the engineers.

Description
The Engineering Manager will need to work with the Production team to carry out both planned and preventative maintenance, installations and repairs in order to ensure the objectives of the business are met. The Engineering Manager will resolve complex technical issues and will actively improve production methods. This role will also participate in and lead projects including process flows, automation and simplification.
The Engineering Manager will competently carry out general maintenance, installations and repairs to equipment both planned and preventative.
Work with third party contractors where needed for maintenance, holding them to account and ensuring requirements are being met effectively and efficiently.
Ensure maximum uptime and minimum downtime of all operations.
Liaise with production teams and Operations Manager over machine breakdowns to prioritise repairs.
Support factory operatives in performing machine changes and settings.
Profile
The Engineering Manager needs to be a self motivated individual capable of working on as part of a team and managing others. An experience of repairing and maintaining a wide range of manufacturing/ production equipment and time served as a Mechanical Engineer with some Electrical knowledge is essential.
- 3 Years' experience Minimum
- Degree Qualified in a Mechanical Engineering background (Electrical with Mechanical experience considered)
- Strategic mindset
- Experience managing/supervising a team of people within a manufacturing and preferably FMCG environment.
- Project management experience desirable
- Experience managing contractors and Maintenance agreements
- Experience with preventative planned maintenance and TPM systems
