Transport Manager | Fresh Produce

We're looking to speak with driven and enthusiastic Transport and Logistics professionals who look to commit and develop with a business as it grows. Our client is dedicated to supplying Europe with the highest standard of fresh produce establishing itself as one of the most well-regarded businesses in the sector.

As Transport Manager you will have overall responsibility leading the Transport / Logistics team to ensure all goods are delivered within agreed timeframes by planning the daily running of the transport operation.

You will manage costs within the Transport department to budget, monitor vehicle running costs, ensuring compliance to all contractual agreements, preparation and management of driver rotas and ensure all vehicles are road worthy at all times.

Excellent communication abilities are imperative to be a successful Transport Manager as you will be required to converse with many different teams internally as well as external suppliers and customers. It is essential that you hold an Operators CPC Licence and have extensive knowledge of LGV fleets and distribution. It is not essential that you have food or fresh produce distribution expertise but is highly desirable.
