Process Development Technologist

The Company

Our client is a supplier of premium chilled and frozen products to the UK major multiples. With their people focussed approach, passion for creativity and responsible sourcing, they are now seeking a Process Development Technologist to join their dynamic team.

The Role

Reporting to the Process Development Manager, you’ll be driving projects from concept to launch, taking key responsibilities in all aspects of NPD including management of the critical path to ensure the highest levels of product development and performance. You’ll working closely with the technical, purchasing and operational teams to ensure deliverance of quality and commercially viable products.

Additionally you’ll prepare customer presentations with the assistance of the development team, liaise with Purchasing on ingredient sourcing / costing alongside arranging and coordinating product samples, requirements and deliveries. You’ll be the main point of contact for customers working closely with them to drive innovation within your category, keeping the range up to date and refreshed as well as looking at cost solutions.

The Person

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Process Development Technologist who has a degree in Food science or a related subject, alongside previous experience of working within food manufacturing. Concept to launch experience is advantageous along with an understanding of the processes and procedures within a factory environment. You’ll have practise in prioritising multiple projects and have great attention detail. A ‘can-do’ attitude, excellent communication and relationship building skills are also essential as you’ll be liaising closely with internal colleagues.
