Category Executive | Fixed Term Maternity Cover

We are currently working with a highly ambitious and forward thinking fresh food business who are looking for a Category Exec / Category Manager to help cover a colleagues maternity leave. They only work within the own label sector, delivering highly perishable products to a number of the UK's major retailers. As such, this is a very fast paced environment and the ability to make quick changes to the way they operate is something that helps them keep their market leading position.

The Job:
You will be accountable for the collation, analysis, reporting and presentation of all external market data for the business while delivering market leading understanding of market intelligence, interpretation and inspiring innovation.
You will investigate both qualitative and quantitative data that is pertinent to the category, tasks and projects.
You will manage the retail price databases, including promotional and photographic information.

The Candidate:
You will have a good background in own label category work, ideally have experience with the UK retailers, potentially having faced into them directly.
Communication is clearly an essential part of this role. Being able to break down large portions of data and disseminate this to the wider business is the core requirement of this role.
Being able to work in a fast paced environment and prioritise tasks effectively is crucial to the success of this role.
