Night Hygiene Manager

A major manufacturer in convenience foods based in Barnsley are currently looking for a Night Hygiene Manager to manage, monitor and improve the already high hygiene standards in their high care food factory working on a 40hr week working Monday to Friday with only one weekend in four.

Covering all aspects the cleaning and hygiene, you’ll be liaising with the key department heads and assisting in controlling all hygiene matters on the site from planning and managing to organising and maintaining the standards and processes and be the primary site contact in the absence of the night shift manager.

Supervising and day to day management of the night shift hygiene and operational teams and ensuring that they are all fully aware of their Health and Safety responsibilities will be paramount and evaluating and recommending suitable training in order to maintain a constant level of service.  This will also include implementing and maintaining management information systems to aid the reporting of Hygiene KPI’s.

We’re looking for a candidate with a strong background in high and low care food environments and experience of BRC/EFSIS accreditation and HACCP.  You’ll also need RSH/IEHO Advanced Food Hygiene Certificates in the Management of Cleaning and disinfection, Chemical Safety and Hygiene and COSHH Regs and training.

A strong, provable track record in leading and training hygiene teams and implementing and managing hygiene teams is essential and you’ll be an authority on hygiene/GMP related CCP’s.  Being a trained auditor and trainer isn’t essential but would be an advantage.

In return, the client is offering a set work pattern focusing on Monday to Friday with only one weekend in our expected and a highly desirable salary of up to £44,000.
