The business

In July 2001, an ambitious group of individuals left their 9-5s and bought a factory on a mission to deliver a range of natural snacks with a difference. The demand for innovative snacks by far exceeded their expectations and as a result, Humdinger has developed and grown, expanding its portfolio of products and building a reputation for quality and product innovation.

In 2013, Humdinger joined German food group Zertus in order to make a bigger difference to the world of healthy eating.

Now operating across four different locations in the UK, Humdinger manufacture a core range of value-added snacks, which include: dairy-free chocolate, dried fruit and nuts.

In addition to manufacturing private label products for the UK food retailers, Humdinger also supply premium snack solutions for many famous food brands such as Guiness, Marmite & Vimto. Their own range of brands includes Humdinger Happiness is Homemade and The Fruit Factory.

The role

Following a restructure at the back end of last year and to facilitate further growth, Humdinger are now looking for NPD managers to deliver Own Label product development at the Sleaford site covering nuts, seeds, dried fruit and non-nut snacking.

The selected candidates will be responsible for the entire NPD process from concept creation to retailer presentation and will report directly into a Senior NPD Manager.

The candidate

The Humdinger team are ideally looking for 1 slightly more experienced and 1 slightly more junior candidate, so are keen to see a variety of CVs. However your experience must be relevant and you will need to live within a sustainably commutable distance from the factory in Sleaford, as the role will be site based.
