Job Role

You will be joining the team as the primary leader and managing a team of experienced individuals including a Supply Chain Planner, Export Supervisor, Production Planner, Supply Chain Coordinator and Order Processing Administrator. The key purpose of the role is manage the company’s outsourced manufacturers and the Supply Chain process, creating cost efficient processes and ensuring that the business ethos is not lost. You will be involved with the planning, production, packaging, stock control and delivery of all food products through land, air and sea.



The ideal candidate will be need to have experience in the key areas below:

  • Manage operations for the Supply Chain, including forecasting, manufacturing planning, inventory management, whilst ensuring efficiency and productivity is maintained to high standards
  • Cost and time reductions are required to ensure all customer orders are complete without impacting quality
  • Work with various departments to ensure Sales and Operational Planning processes are being achieved, including forecasting for new products and increased product lines
  • Establish areas for improvements within the Supply Chain processes, distributing updates across the business as required
  • Create strategic relationships with business leaders within business to enhance collaborative working and effective management of ongoing production
  • Reporting on all areas of the Supply Chain with visibility to cost, operating margins and working capital to support senior and key business investment decisions
  • Review and improve export market compliance, ensuring all legislation is met without impacting client service levels
  • Be involved in key projects within the business relating to improving processes and procedures not only within the Supply Chain, but company wide
  • Involved in full management responsibilities of team including reviews, recruitment, development and retention of staff


Personal Profile

  • Extensive Supply Chain experience – including forecasting, planning and production
  • Food Production and Distribution are highly beneficial
  • Work with outsourced businesses
  • Management of an operations team to deliver high quality products in a time-critical environment
  • Working to a set budget and with financial targets
  • CIPS/CILT Qualified is desirable, not essential
