A fantastic opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager, based in West London, has become available. You will be responsible for managing all procurement and inventory control activities. An importer and distributor of fine foods, you will be central to the continued growth of the business, shaping the future of the company.

 

Job Role

Our client is looking for leadership and someone to come on board to be able to make nimble decisions to improve efficiency and process, but to also recruit their own team. The company has ambitious growth plans which will require the function to operate beyond a single site, this role will be at the heart of achieving these plans. The role will report to the Managing Director in our London offices.

 

Responsibilities

  • Review the Supply Chain functions and procedures, making necessary improvements to processes and policies where required
  • Improve production planning, material procurement, inventory control, vendor selection and distribution to achieve financial targets set by business leaders
  • Enhance processes throughout the Supply Chain and communicate any improvements to demand signals, forecasting, inventory, transportation, etc. to Senior Management
  • Analyse the company’s Supply Chain performance against projected budget and timescales
  • Continuous improvement to systems and processes, managing any implementation to produce cost saving and improved efficiencies across the operation
  • Recruiting, where needed, and coaching the full Supply Chain Team to achieve company targets
  • Ensure a strong working relationship is maintained within the business
  • Management of the ‘supplier scorecard’ and specifically support any suppliers collaboratively who are not meeting expectations with deliveries to improve KPIs
  • Drive supply chain KPI improvement through performance management reviews
  • Ensure all deliveries are made in accordance with agreed customer timescales

 

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Qualifications within Supply Chain Management is highly beneficial
  • Strong experience in a Supply Chain Manager position
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft NAV is advantageous
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Package (Microsoft Excel knowledge is required)
  • The capability to work in a fast-paced environment, a self-starter who needs little direction and has a proven track record of success
  • Adaptable and a flexible approach to working hours to support a 24/7 business operation
  • Superior analytical skills for the preparation of product demand forecasting, financial profitability of products and inventory management
  • Process improvement skills will be required and ability to successfully execute strategy
  • Strong communication skills

 

Salary and Benefits

£35k-£45k DOE
