We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and highly motivated Occupational Health Advisor based in Park Royal with flexible travel to Bow and Heathrow. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is keen to develop their career into occupational health within a food manufacturing environment. Working within an established team and reporting to the OH Manager, you will be required to support the delivery of an Occupational Health service which ensures all employees work in a safe environment, as defined by company and statutory standards, and operate in an environment which promotes their health and wellbeing whilst at work

Main responsibilities
  • Work with operation teams to deploy safe working policies and health promotions schemes to maximise employee wellbeing
  • Monitor number and capability of first aiders to ensure that there are sufficient trained and competent to provide the required level of response in an emergency.
  •  Ensure health surveillance is undertaken on all employees in accordance with the risk assessment legislation
  •  Provide medical advice, support and counselling to employees where required and guides the company on progress and adaptations as appropriate
  • Ensure the safekeeping of all confidential medical records, in accordance with Greencore’s GDPR guidelines, to ensure auditable information is in place
  • Actively encourages and supports employees to participate in Health and Wellbeing initiatives to prevent the onset of long term conditions which could impact employee absence and performance
Ideal candidate
  • Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and successful revalidated every three years
  • Hold a Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health
  • Experience of working in food manufacturing ideal but not essential as full training and support will be provided
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Confidence to make decisions and use initiative
  • Assertiveness to ensure instructions on Health & Safety are carried out
  • Maintains confidentiality; working knowledge of GDPR
  • Good organisational and time management skills
