Head of Technical

This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the Technical Strategy of a successful, privately owned chilled foods business. Employing over 800 people, they have grown significantly over the past 4 years and have won multiple awards for innovation. They are looking to appoint a Head of Technical to help meet their ambitions to be their customers’ preferred supplier, a recognised leader in fantastic, healthy, convenient fresh food and be the employer of choice within the community.

Your role will be to lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s technical strategy from supplier through to customer in line with the business strategic priorities.  As part of the executive team you will input into the overall company leadership strategy from a technical perspective, implementing and embedding day to day performance objectives and longer term Supplier, Team and Customer development plans. Developing a high-performance culture within your team of c.13 people be a key aspect of your role.

Degree educated, you will have extensive experience of delivering and managing a technical strategy and team.  We would love to hear from you if you have a background in short shelf life chilled food.  You should have previous experience of managing senior level retailer customer technical/development relationships.  Possessing strong leadership and influencing skills, you will be able to build effective relationships inside and outside of the business.
