Specifications Writer / Technologist

Reporting to the Technical Manager of this award winning producer of bakery products based in Wales.

You will; be responsible for writing the product specifications within the respective customer specification databases whilst providing technical support to the Technical team. This will include artwork amendment, reporting KPIs and regulatory / supplier updates

Accurate input and maintenance of online retailer and supplier portals

Accurate input for NPD process

Document control

Customer supplier assurance

Specification writing for major retailers

Effectively checking own brand and supplier artwork including verification of 2D codes

Work closely with marketing department on weights, measures, health and nutrition, legal labelling.

Raw material data input ensuring all fields are relevant and up to date

Knowledge and skills

Recent experience in a technical role within the food industry

Knowledge and experience of food law legal labelling

Understanding of HACCP Principles

Computer literate (Microsoft Office)

Excellent communication skills
