Technical Systems and Finance Administrator


We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Systems and Finance Administrator to join us, and work as an ambassador for NSF with our technical services team, based in the Whitbread office in Dunstable.

Whitbread PLC is the UK's largest operator of hotels and restaurants, with some of the UK’s most successful hospitality brands; including Premier Inns, Beefeater, Brewer’s fayre and Table Table.

NSF International work in partnership with Whitbread providing technical services with an embedded technical team. NSF International is a recognised leader in inspection, certification, technical services, training and consulting services for the food industry. 

The Role

You will be the recognised team systems expert, responsible for ensuring all product and supplier data for Whitbread supply chain management is maintained on the NSF systems. You will also be accountable for invoicing chargeable work and reporting finance information for the team.

  • Acting as the office-based point of contact you will provide friendly and professional customer service and developing positive relationships with the client and suppliers
  • Working alongside the Technical Team you will support the setting up of products, suppliers and specifications on the NSF online and TraQtion specification systems
  • You will co-ordinate the laboratory testing programme, liaising with the laboratory and the depot inspectors to collect samples, invoicing and managing budget spend for testing
  • You will prepare management finance reports as required, to include end of month and raise invoices and analyse monthly cost reports to ensure correct.
  • Providing office support to the team where required; managing office supplies, meeting bookings, travel and accommodation bookings, reception and post room liaison

 

The Person

We are seeking a person who is committed, enthusiastic confident and driven with the following experience/knowledge/skills/abilities:

  • Experience working in the Food industry and a qualification in Food Science / Food Safety would be an advantage
  • Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers at all levels
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of numeracy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • Demonstrate a positive and committed “can do “attitude
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Strong team worker
  • Ability to work under pressure either alone or in a team
  • Basic book keeping / finance qualification desirable
  • Ideally have previously worked in a finance role raising invoices and reporting finance data
  • Experience with web-based specification and supplier management database systems preferred
