Head of Production -

Our client is a successful food manufacturer and an award-winning business with an exciting and innovative product range. Due to recent growth they are looking to expand their team with the role of a Head of Production for their new facility.

The role
•To build a customer focused approach throughout the site ensuring delivery of quality, health & safety, efficiency, service level and cost targets.
•Develop these targets to optimise the performance of the operation and staff within a culture of continuous development.
·Responsible for aspects of leading the staff including hiring, coaching, managing performance and development planning.
·Lead and manage the team to ensure safe, quality production through ensuring all company, legal and regulatory practices and procedures are followed.
·Lead daily, weekly and/or monthly review processes to track and reinforce progress vs action plans.
·Actively utilise lean tools to drive process improvement strategies in plant manufacturing operations.

The candidate
Must have:    
•UK food manufacturing experience
•Operated BRC or equivalent organisations
•Experience of managing change
•Senior management background
•Strong leadership

Nice to have:
•Degree educated
•Project management experience
•Customer facing experience
•Track record of mentoring and succession planning
