Our client, a recognised supplier to UK retail and at the forefront of their category, is searching for a new Commercial Manager to work closely with their major retail accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an innovative product category and develop further products to consumers.
*Responsibility for retail accounts ensuring that company profitability, customer requirements and individual growth targets are met.
*Implement, monitor, report & forecast on account performance against sales budget and cash margin in order to maximise future performance.
*Develop, implement and maintain individual customer account plans which identify key activities and priorities in line with company strategic objectives, and thereby maximise profitability.
*Annually review customer account plans as part of the budgeting process for the following year.
*Maintain regular communication with key external contacts to identify and resolve issues whilst selling new initiatives within existing customer base. Always building strong relationships with retail buyers.
*Be a brand champion and look at avenues to explore category growth and market penetration.
*Identify, understand and communicate both the customer needs and development aspiration.
*Develop alongside NPD and implement NPD strategy which supports the business and account plan requirements.
*Experience overseeing national retail accounts
*A track record of sales growth and relationship strengthening
*Strong negotiation skills
*Strong communication skills with management teams and customers.
*Excellent problem solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
