Development Technologist (contract until September 2019)
Are you a passionate and ambitious foodie who is ready to take on a 9 month contract? This is an exciting and career defining chance to take on a Development Technologist position with a highly recognised and respected food business known for their award winning products.
You will be an integral member of the innovations team helping to guarantee the effective manufacture and development of new products in this exciting chilled category. You’ll be there at every stage of the NPD process from concept to launch, ensuring critical paths and customer expectations are met. Working with internal teams including process and purchasing, you’ll help identify and source the latest innovations in ingredients whilst generating costings in adherence to customer budget parameters. In addition you’ll plan and co-ordinate production trials and taste panels, guaranteeing products are produced to consistently high levels of quality and flavour. You’ll also work with other NPD team members to gather product details and samples, whilst supporting with persuasive customer presentations.
You will be an engaging and focused Development Technologist with a food related degree and experience in food manufacturing where you have gained a strong knowledge of chilled manufacturing processes. Dedicated and enthusiastic you’ll be able to inspire and motivate others through building strong relationships with internal teams as well as customers. Using your excellent communication skills you will also be able to show how you can keep others informed of new products and project developments. In addition you’ll need to have excellent organisation and project management skills in order to ensure the smooth running of the entire NPD process from ideation stage to launch.
