Team Leader, Cardiff

Team Leaders required for a Food Manufacturing business in the Cardiff area.

This food manufacturing site near Cardiff is looking to bring in some excellent people managers to join the business as Shift Team Leaders. This will be a role looking after a group of around 20 - 40 factory workers with a variety of backgrounds and multiple languages spoken. Your challenge is to motivate and lead this team to exceed their targets and drive the business forward. Improving team member engagement and enjoyment of their roles will be your mission and should lead to a stronger and higher performing team. Utilising KPI's such as labour usage, wastage, OEE and staff turnover you will have clear targets to aim for. Deliver improvements against these to get noticed by the wider group and secure a talking point for your CV.

Supplying a wide range of retailers and food service companies the products being made are excellent quality and from personal experience very tasty. There has been huge investment recently in new kit and the site is very well maintained so you will have all the tools needed to succeed and the backing from the senior team to drive the site forward.

A background in a fast-paced food manufacturing, foodservice or even retail or call centre environment will be a good base for this role. Specific product experience is not an issue for this position, it's all about your people skills - in essence you will be:

• Experienced in a fast-paced production/service environment, comfortable in a factory setting
• Understand how KPI's are used to drive improvements
• Have a desire to mentor and develop people

The shift for this role is either permanent days or permanent nights on a 12 hour, four on four off pattern.
