This is not a role for someone to come in and maintain the status quo. It is a role for a progressive Ops Manager who utilises data and structured logical thinking to make decisions based on numbers and not emotion. You will have the opportunity to display your skills within manufacturing and also bring ideas from other, broader areas within the manufacturing sector. You could have experience in functions such as Supply Chain, Finance or Engineering and want to take on a new challenge as Operations Manager. You know 'what good looks like' and how to get there. Product experience would be best suited from dairy, milk, brewing or other liquid food products but other fast-paced categories such as bakery or chilled would be of interest.
Deputising for the new Plant Director when required you will have the backing to make changes as required with new senior team members joining in Engineering and CI positions. As part of this new team you will be creating a lasting impact on this already successful business. The company is privately owned and the site is one of the largest in the UK food sector in terms of size and stature. It operates somewhere between an own label and blue-chip business without the red tape you may expect from a large branded company.
