A fantastic opportunity for a professional food based Delivery Driver, based in West London, has become available. You will be responsible for managing all time critical deliveries within London and the Home Counties. An importer and distributor of fine foods, you will be central to the continued growth of the business, shaping the future of the company.

 

Job Role

Our client is looking for a Delivery Driver with good knowledge of London and surrounding areas to carry out food deliveries in a timely manner with a high level of customer service.

 

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload vehicle
  • Deliver all products efficiently and correctly
  • Ensure customer satisfaction is achieved with every delivery
  • Handling and managing cash, payments, paperwork (inc. invoices)
  • Professional approach with strong communication skills
  • Immediately report to company any issue
  • Prepare orders as required
  • Inspect vehicle and immediately report any mechanical or technical faults
  • Keep record of mileage, fuel purchase
  • Drive the vehicle in a safe and conscientious manner
  • Assume responsibility for care and maintenance of vehicle (including washing, interior cleaning, take vehicle to garage for maintenance and repair)
  • Support Warehousing, Production, etc. as required
  • Comply with HACCP requirements at all times
  • Carry out any other duty required by your supervisor

 

Skills & Experience Required

  • Good knowledge of London and suburbs essential
  • Experience of driving within London is desired
  • Clean Full UK Driving License
  • Minimum age is 25+ for insurance purposes
  • Good verbal and written English is required

 

Salary and Benefits

£18k-£22k per annum
