The job

Your role as Technical Assistant is to ensure the safety, legality & quality of all products sold by the company by supporting the Technical Manager and liaising closely with customers, meeting their needs in a timely manner.

You will complete customer specifications, provide customers with company specifications, maintain RSPO, Halal and Kosher certification, assist with implementing BRC standards, support the preparation of audits, investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions, despatch samples to laboratories and carry out equipment calibration.

Your experience

To be considered for the Technical Assistant job, you will ideally be educated to a degree level in a food science or technology discipline and possess similar technical/QA experience within the food manufacturing industry. Ideal qualifications include HACCP Level 3 and Intermediate Food Hygiene. You will also possess excellent communication and organisations skills, be helpful and customer service focused plus able to work independently or part of a team.

The Technical Assistant job is based in the West Central Scotland region and is paying £21,000 - £25,000 according to individual skills, qualifications and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.
