NPD Manager - London
A rare and exciting opportunity as part of a rapidly developing convenience food manufacturer.
The company is a private family owned food manufacturer in South London supplying retail clients and foodservice operators with a range of chilled ready to eat products. Due to the fast organic growth of the business we now wish to strengthen our Innovation Team with the appointment of an excellent NPD Manager.
Reporting to the Business Development Director you will be responsible for innovating fantastic, tasty, customer centric products to our wide range of clients across the U.K. You will be working closely with our commercial teams to meet customer briefs and develop an EPD program to stay true to the company's value of challenging the norm.
You will lead NPD projects from concept phase through to factory launch ensuring NPD procedures are adhered to and factory documentation is prepared accordingly.
Working with suppliers, carrying out market research on the latest trends and focusing on customer needs, you will need use innovative ingredients and products to give our commercial team the competitive edge in an extremely competitive market.
This is a key role to the business which will help achieve the companies plan to become a leading chilled food manufacturer in the country.
You'll be an ambitious, forward thinking individual willing to grow with a fast paced and energetic company. With at least 4 years industry experience within an NPD team, you should be able to demonstrate leadership, commitment and focus to the business. Part of the role will be customer facing therefore you will need to be able to enthuse customers with your passion, knowledge and culinary ideas during customer presentations, meetings and trade shows.
You must hold a genuine passion for food which will inspire others around you and a focus to continuously develop yourself. A can-do attitude, flexibility and a desire to succeed are vital in this fast paced challenging environment but the reward is very worthwhile.
