Counterbalance Forklift Operative

A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Operative, based in West London. An importer and distributor of fine foods, you will be central to the continued growth of the business, shaping the future of the company.

Job Role

You will be responsible for picking and packing all orders in a time critical environment for deliveries within London and the Home Counties. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated individual willing to pursue a career in a fast-growing company who are becoming the market leader in their sector.

Responsibilities

• Counterbalance Forklift Operative
• Movement of all stock within the warehouse
• Management of Goods-In
• Data input of Goods-In receive
• Manage cleanliness and tidiness of warehouse area
• Management of stock ensuring correct levels are maintained and accurate
• Manage paperwork efficiently and correctly
• Ensure products are distributed in date order
• Pick and prepare orders efficiently and within timeframes
• Ensure waste management is effective and only minimal costs arise
• Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
• Maintain high levels of health and safety policies and procedures
• Achieve the targets and standards set out by Management
• Effective communication with Team/Supervisor
• Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
• Comply with HACCP requirements

Skills & Experience Required

• Full UK driving licence required (may need to carry out local deliveries)
• Counterbalance Forklift License
• Warehouse experience is highly beneficial
• Italian language is beneficial
• Flexibility in working hours

Salary and Benefits

£18k-£24k per annum
