We’ve got a fantastic job for a Senior Manufacturing Manager – Business Improvement to join our Central Manufacturing team reporting into the head of Central Operations. You’ll set and lead the agreed Business Improvement strategy and be the lead for all continuous Improvement activities for the Manufacturing division. To direct line manage, guide and develop a Business Improvement team in the delivery of the Divisional Continuous Improvement plan as well as their own area improvement plan. To advise and support the senior leadership team, site leadership teams on CI direction and appropriate tools. To integrate CI culture and thinking into Manufacturing processes.  To oversee the training of all managers on the principals and tools of C. I.

This role is field based and covers all 18 Manufacturing sites in the UK.

Requirements of the Job

You will share productivity improvements that deliver positive impacts for customers in Manufacturing and its customers. You will prepare reports to internal customer’s requirement – to show CI based projects, their measurements and achievement of profit improvement against site targets and advise on process improvement, supporting involvement and engagement of colleagues. You’ll lead cross functional project teams and working groups as necessary to alignment of objectives and end to end benefit delivery and develop a way of working that enables our people to continuously look for ways to improve our business. You will also lead the development plan for ensuring colleagues have the skills to be able to constantly be able to deliver improvement

About You

You will need knowledge of Fresh Food Manufacturing and UK grocery market along with continuous Improvement methods and site performance in efficiency, yield and quality, current performance and cost drivers. You will also have strong customer focus and strong leadership and influencing skills. You will have the ability to build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and have a passion for striving for high performance. You will have excellent analytical and  numerical skills and experience in bench marking methods as well as an ability to transfer knowledge to managers across the organisation
