Job Details

We are currently working with Red Tractor (Assured Food Standards) to help them find their next Trade and Consumer Brand Manager. Red Tractor are a not for profit organisation who are dedicated to raising the standards in the UK supply chain and currently represent £14 billion pounds worth of food sold in the UK and work with ¾ of British Agriculture (by volume). They have driven this engagement with growers and raised the awareness of the brand with consumers, through a more focussed approach to it's marketing. As the Brand Manager for the business, you will be responsible for driving the day to day delivery of the consumer marketing plan.

The Role:
In conjunction with the Head of Communications and Marketing and Commercial Manager, you will be involved in developing and executing the consumer and trade marketing plans. This is very broad reaching and they have developed great consumer awareness through a joined up approach of dealing with branding, across a range of channels. You will be a key link within the business ensuring that the Communications and Commercial teams are aware of each others activities and ensuring there is continuation across the business. You will be liaising with various Red Tractor stakeholders, including providing key support to its partners who are utilising the brand in their own marketing.

The Candidate:
This role is very broad, but not dissimilar to a Brand Manager working within the food or FMCG sectors. As such, this is the kind of experience they want and will allow you to hit the ground running. Thanks to the work they have been doing in recent years, they have enabled themselves to have a good working budget for promotion and marketing purposes, so experience of managing a good sized budget would be useful. You will need to be able to understand a broad range of shopper insights and be able to translate this into meaningful activity. This role deals with a number of internal and external stakeholders, so good influencing skills will be essential.

Clearly this is just a snapshot of what I believe to be a very rewarding and fulfilling role. If this sounds like an opportunity that you want to find out more about, then please get in touch with Morten Andresen on 01780 480530 for a confidential discussion.

MorePeople have been exclusively commissioned for this role and any direct or third party applications will be forwarded to them to manage.
