The Development Engineer will also develop autonomous maintenance activities to be devolved to the operations team and carry out the Planned Preventative Maintenance works and Continuous Improvement aspect of the Engineering Function.

Description
  • Carry out PPM Work Orders in line with schedules within set timescales
  • Carry out AD-Hoc Jobs as identified by Factory processes
  • PPM System Maintenance. Ensure all assets have a relevant PPM schedule that is continuously reviewed and updated as necessary. Ensure all new equipment is created in Agility with PPM tasks
  • Review PPM's/ad-hoc jobs/Breakdowns to identify areas for Operator Development of Engineering Tasks. Develop SOP's for Op Eng Tasks and train out
  • Ensure all assets have been reviewed for Critical Spares and source as appropriate
  • Ensure all assets have complete manuals and stored in a Technical Library
  • Assume responsibility of legal areas as appropriate to skill. I.e. Water Regs, F-Gas, E at W regs, Fire Safety. Ensure process in place to manage these
  • Involvement in Continuous Improvement Projects. Lead CI activity with CI teams
  • Responsibility for Factory Implementation of Capital Projects.
  • Ensure non-production Site Services assets are maintained and improved as appropriate
  • Identify, Develop and implement Safe Systems of Work for all Engineering Tasks
  • Adhere to Contractor Control Processes - Induction, Permits etc. Identify and Implement improvements in Contractor Control
  • Involvement in improving Site Standards in terms of electrical and mechanical installations
  • Involvement in Site H & S Improvement.
  • Carry out breakdown repairs and implement long term fixes




  • Profile
  • OND/ONC or equivalent mechanical or electrical.
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship
  • Demonstrable maintenance experience
  • User of CMMS system
  • Computer literate and competent in use of MS Office packages
  • Proof of development throughout career
  • Full UK driving license
  • Good communication skills
  • Can Do attitude

    Week 2: Sunday to Monday 05:50 - 18:00, Friday to Saturday 17:50 - 06:00

    Week 3: Sunday 17:50 - 06:00, Wednesday to Friday 05:50 - 18:00

    Week 4: Tuesday 05:50 - 18:00, Wednesday to Thursday 17:50 - 06:00
