A great opportunity to manage a raw materials spend at a large food manufacturing business. This role plays a vital part purchasing commodities and packaging for a complex manufacturing process.

Our client are a forward thinking food manufacturing business based in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

Description

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for delivering a number of important tasks for the business. A number of these include:
  • Management of all procurement related activity across multiple Directs categories
  • Budget delivery through sustainable cost savings & net cash position improvement
  • Strategic & tactical sourcing of goods & services to support business initiatives
  • Pro-active category management to develop & implement approved sourcing plans to deliver business requirements (assurance of supply; quality; service; cost; innovation)


Profile

The successful Purchasing Manager will have a range of the following:

  • Ingredients and / or packaging category / sourcing experience. Ideally commodities.
  • Previous FMCG / Food experience (not essential)
  • Category management
  • Commercial awareness
