Development Assistant Manager

We're working with a Food Manufacturer based in Lincolnshire that supply a mix of sweets, beverages and even savoury and baby foods who are looking for a  Development Technologist on a 1 year contract to start in mid March.

Reporting in to the R and D Manager, you'll be working on a variety of projects, helping to deliver fully-documented customer solutions.

This isn't a typical Development role and you'll be providing sound technical advice and solutions by carrying out colour formulation and performance evaluation work in relevant food applications in all market areas and liaising with application experts.

You'll also be assisting in putting together reports and presentations for internal and external customers that outline the benefits and includes relevant elements such as application designs, testing protocols and shelf-life results and application advice.

We're looking for a Candidate with a Degree (or equivalent) in Food Science or a Food related discipline and has a solid scientific and food background knowledge.

Previous experience of the food industry would be great, as would a second language, but these aren't essential although the ability to write clear, concise reports and presentations is.
