We’ve got a fantastic job for a Site Engineering Manager to join our International Seafoods manufacturing site in Grimsby. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will form part of the senior team at the site and you will work closely with the Production Managers to ensure that machinery downtime is kept to a minimum and that all preventative maintenance is planned in advance to avoid production disruption.

This is a days role working 40 hours per week.

Requirements of the Job

As the Site Engineering Manager you will promote and ensure safe working practices at all times across the site and attainment of Production plan on a daily basis within planned hours and planned manning levels. You will be achieving daily customer service levels around external and internal customer requirements. Control the engineering budget and appropriate investments to drive continual improvement and monitoring colleague engagement scores and staff turnover levels. You will be responsible for the delivery of Continuous Improvement culture within engineering function.

About You

You will have previous experience working in Manufacturing/FMCG or a similar fast paced, commercially focused environment. You will have excellent communication skills and a proven track record of coaching, motivating and engaging a team: demonstrating assertiveness and decision making skills and have a can do attitude to your work. You will ideally be of graduate calibre or equivalent with proven experience of developing and leading a strong performing engineering function.

About our Grimsby Manufacturing Site

Grimsby employs 700 people predominantly on a 4/4 off shift which is supported fully by the site engineering team who cover days and nights. The site supplies 90% of all Morrisons seafood from two facilities, Pegasus which is the wet fish site processing Salmon & White fish and the other being Lakeside which is mainly packing and further processing such as smoking with a number of production lines. Within Lakeside it covers Low risk, High Care and High Risk products. Both sites have state of the art world class processing equipment and has recently undergone significant investment in capital and infrastructure.
