Credit Control Supervisor, Foodservice, Hereford

The Credit Control Supervisor will be responsible for reporting and managing the performance of 4 Credit Controllers. They will be responsible for the Large National accounts and for reporting the debt provision for the 7 branches based in Hereford and National Accounts.

This role has the potential to grow and develop into a Credit Controller Manager for the right Individual.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Managing the performance of the Credit Controllers ensuring sufficient calls are made and results achieved
• Interrogation of Credit Ledgers with Credit Controllers on a weekly basis highlighting any areas of concern which would require targeted improvement
• Escalation of potential issues and Credit risks to the Financial Controller on a weekly basis
• Management of the National Account customers and supervision of National Account Administrator ensuring debts are chased in a pro-active and prompt manner and providing an escalation point for resolution when debt issues arise
• Regular coaching and development of a team of Credit Controllers to optimise their performance levels and enhance their skill sets
• Close liaison with the Group Credit Management to ensure compliance to Group Insurance Policy and internal Litigation processes including Credit Insurance Claims and County Court Judgements
• Any other tasks as required

The Ideal Candidate:

• An experienced Credit Control Manager with a proven track record of Supervisory experience and Credit Control
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both staff and Senior Management
• Must have the drive and persistence to pro-actively raise and address issues as they arise
• The ability to understand and interrogate Credit Control reports focussing on aged debt and high impact debts speedily improving the overall balance of the ledgers
• Good IT Proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Numerate and ability to work accurately and quickly is paramount in this role
• Working effectively - tackling immediate demands decisively, whilst retaining a broad awareness of emerging requirements. Demonstrating a good sense of priorities, and structures whilst managing workloads effectively and delivering consistently good results
• Ability to interact with internal and external customers at all levels within the business
• Flexible and adaptable to the changing requirements of the business and above all a team player
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

Salary: £25,000-£27,000 + Benefits
